Tournament Rules

1. Eligible Fish
Spottail Bass, Flounder, Spotted Seatrout, Sheepshead, King Mackerel
~ Spottail Bass ~ minimum length 15 inches maximum length 23 inches
~ Flounder ~ 14-inch minimum (TL)
~ Spotted Seatrout ~14-inch minimum (TL)
~ Sheepshead ~ No size limit
~ King Mackerel ~ minimum 36” fork length

2. Tournament officials will monitor
VHF channel 68 during competition hours.

3. Anglers may weigh one fish per species.

5. This is a captain’s choice tournament. No weather day.
Fishing is at the captain’s discretion,
the captain will accept full responsibility for his actions.

6. All boats must meet both USCG and the State of SC
safety requirements in order to qualify for competition.
South Carolina requires all anglers
MUST have a SC saltwater fishing license.

7. This is a sporting event.
All fish must be caught on rod and reel.
No hand lines permitted.
Fish snagged, gigged, shot, netted, or harpooned are inelgible.

8. Competition hours are: 12:01 am to 5:00 pm
on Saturday ~ September 18, 2010.

9. Check-in time:

Saturday ~ September 18, 2010 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm
No exceptions!!!
Fish must be weighed in on the day the fish is caught.

10. Check-in manner:
Each boat in tournament competition will receive an entry number card.
This number must be presented and acknowledged
by the official weighmaster at check-in.

This recognition is the responsibility of the fishing boat captain.

By Boat:
proceed to A dock at the
Charleston Harbor Hilton Marina
near the
marina office to off load one angler and their catch to
be weighed. At such tim
e, marina staff will instruct you
to a slip to tie off, then walk up with rest of your
crew for official weigh-in of your catch.
It is the sole responsibility of the crew aboard each boat to
offload and present its catch for weighing when arriving at A dock.
No boats will be allowed to tie up at the offloading dock!
By vehicle:
proceed to the Charleston Harbor Hilton Marina
near the marina office to the weigh station.
Boats can be placed on a trailer, during the
competition hours that are in route to the weigh-in station.

11. Money is awarded solely on the basis of fish weight.
In the event of identical weights,
the first fish weighed in shall be declared the winner.

12. Competition for Tournament monies.
Tournament scales will be official weigh-in results.
No other weights will be accepted.
All decisions by the Tournament Committee are final.
